Director Capital Markets (Agriculture Finance)

Location: Hybrid, with up to 50% work from home; open to Compeer office locations in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Base pay: $149,700–$257,400 USD annually, plus variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop business in syndicated and participated multi-lender loan markets across the United States.
• Build and maintain relationships with syndication lenders, traders, borrowers, financial institutions, and local banks.
• Structure and execute participations and complex financing transactions while developing solutions to client needs.
• Originate and close new financing opportunities and support the Capital Markets business and marketing plan.
• Develop industry expertise across food companies, agribusinesses, agricultural production companies, and rural utilities.
• Assess portfolio credit exposure and collaborate with credit, audit, underwriting, and loan committees on policies, approvals, and risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Advanced financial services and credit experience, with advanced knowledge of syndicated finance and senior debt loan structuring preferred.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, negotiation, influencing, selling, communication, client service, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to educate, motivate, mentor, and collaborate with team members, clients, and lending professionals.
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related industry applications.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. A valid driver’s license is required.
