Construction Coordinator II

What you will do

• Inspect all phases of utility construction, including trenching, directional boring, conduit installation, and aerial cable installation.
• Oversee contractors and external vendors to ensure compliance with contracts, construction standards, safety requirements, and productivity targets.
• Coordinate with private and municipal engineers, utility representatives, maintenance personnel, vendors, and government entities.
• Manage permitting, project documentation, as-built records, pay-request approvals, plan verification, and project progress.
• Review designs, estimate bills of materials, initiate bids, oversee procurement, and track project budgets in software such as Sitetracker.
• Make field adjustments, resolve construction conflicts, authorize change orders, and respond to project-related questions and complaints.

Requirements

• Experience organizing and coordinating large construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, safety hazards, inspection techniques, and cost accounting principles.
• Experience managing project budgets, maintaining records, and monitoring contract workers.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and city laws, ordinances, codes, regulations, and NEC/NESC requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and engineering drawings.
• Strong negotiation, communication, collaboration, and Microsoft Office skills.
