Field Ops Manager (Telecommunications)

What you will do

• Lead field operations teams, supervisors, and technicians to meet daily performance and customer service goals.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop a high-functioning technical operations team.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair activities for quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a safe work environment, including safety equipment, tools, procedures, and compliance reporting.
• Resolve complex customer issues, escalated technical repairs, and network outages in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Manage contractor utilization, budgets, CIR preparation, profit and loss activities, purchase orders, and relationships with community and city officials.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience leading a technical operations team in the telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of the maintenance and operation of fiber-optic networks.
• Knowledge of FCC regulations, testing, and documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, time management, and project management skills.
• Ability to work varied schedules and in inclement weather, with a valid driver’s license and good driving record for field travel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Power BI, and MS Excel; post-secondary education is preferred.
