Supervisor, Plant Management (Manufacturing)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; on-site manufacturing plant role requiring rotating 12-hour shifts from 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am, including weekends.

What you will do

• Lead production shifts and supervise manufacturing personnel to achieve safety, quality, cost, output, and schedule objectives.
• Establish personnel schedules and product-line assignments based on business needs.
• Conduct line Gemba walks and maintain plant audit, compliance, facilities work-order, and training readiness.
• Coach technicians in the safe operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing-line quality, efficiency, throughput, yield, and safety.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and manage disciplinary actions when required.

Requirements

• Vocational/technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent experience required.
• At least 6 years of manufacturing experience and 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Availability for regular rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Six or more years of manufacturing or engineering experience and three or more years of supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising technical workforces and knowledge of timekeeping.
• Experience in ISO, FDA, and GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
