What you will do

• Collect patient specimens and assist with phlebotomy, special procedures, and patient flow.
• Perform moderate- and high-complexity chemistry, hematology, and immunology testing.
• Operate laboratory equipment and complete scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and quality control activities.
• Prepare peripheral blood smears, perform white blood cell differentials, and examine urinary sediment microscopically.
• Process in-house and reference-laboratory specimens and record results in laboratory and patient-charting systems.
• Manage critical results, corrective actions, supplies, reagents, transfusion specimens, and hazardous materials in accordance with laboratory policies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in medical technology or laboratory science.
• Five or more years of experience required.
• Current state license if required.
• Ability to work with complex laboratory equipment and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Compliance with OSHA requirements, universal precautions, and applicable regulatory standards.

Nice to have

• AMT, ASCP, or equivalent certification.
