Laboratory Technician IV (Clinical Laboratory)

Location: Browning, Montana, United States; onsite at Blackfeet Community Hospital

Salary: USD $37.25 per hour

What you will do

• Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens using analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare patients and collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary methods.
• Prepare patients for urine, stool, and other specimen collections.
• Review, verify, and report patient results.
• Perform, update, and review quality control, calibrations, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Medical Technician from a recognized certifying body, such as ASCP or AMT.
• 2–3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Required phlebotomy experience.
• Proficiency in clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, blood bank, serology, urinalysis, microbiology, and molecular testing.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of microbiology.
