CMBS New Issuance – Director / Senior Director (NY / Chicago) (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: New York, New York or Chicago, Illinois. Hybrid schedule with office attendance on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Annual base salary: $160,000–$250,000.

What you will do

• Conduct CRE property cash flow, valuation, loan, and transaction-level credit analysis across property types.
• Lead end-to-end execution of conduit, single-borrower, CRE CLO, single-family rental, and other CMBS transactions.
• Present and defend analyses to senior managers, credit and ratings committees, banks, issuers, and investors.
• Lead preparation of comprehensive externally published transaction reports.
• Manage multiple internal and external parties, workstreams, and compressed timelines.
• Mentor junior analysts, conduct U.S. property site inspections, represent hirify.global at industry events, and contribute to new methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of relevant CRE debt underwriting or CMBS securitization experience for Director consideration.
• 15+ years of relevant CRE debt underwriting or CMBS securitization experience for Senior Director consideration.
• Credit and underwriting experience across multiple CRE property types.
• Proficiency in extensive Excel analysis, strong written and oral communication, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple compressed timelines.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or progression toward the CFA designation.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and productivity.
