Commercial Credit Senior Analyst CRE, NYC

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid schedule with four days per week in the office.

Annual salary: $87,200–$145,400 USD.

What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and throughout the life of each loan.
• Monitor existing commercial credit portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, credit information, appraisals, industry research, and peer data to assess creditworthiness.
• Build financial and projection models, cash-flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, and guarantor statement analyses.
• Recommend transaction structures and risk ratings across company, bank base-case, and downside scenarios.
• Partner with relationship managers, attend client calls, present analyses to credit committees, and escalate material risk or policy issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus at least two years of experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement analysis, or related financial analysis.
• In lieu of a degree, at least six combined years of higher education and work experience, including two years in a relevant financial analysis field.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit metrics, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining accuracy and customer focus.
• Ability to work from the New York office four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial real estate underwriting.
• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, or nCino.
