Location: New York, NY; unrestricted right to work in the U.S. required. Remote work requests may be considered under the company’s policy; the company’s hybrid model generally requires four days in the office each week. Domestic travel within the USA is required, for no more than 10 days per year.
Salary: $180,107–$228,000 annually

DBRS provides independent credit ratings and opinions for corporate and sovereign entities, financial institutions, and structured finance instruments.
What you will do
- Lead analysis of structured finance transactions with minimal supervision and present findings to rating committees.
- Analyze RMBS collateral, deal structures, legal issues, representations and warranties, and originator underwriting guidelines.
- Test cash flows and assess the accuracy and robustness of cash-flow models.
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis and communicate findings to senior staff and colleagues.
- Support industry criteria development, structured finance model enhancements, and technology-enabled process improvements.
- Produce industry commentaries and newsletters and represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and panel discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, commerce, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted.
- At least five years of experience in structured finance as a credit analyst or in a relevant role.
- Experience assigning ratings to RMBS transactions backed by fix-and-flip loans, non-QM, prime jumbo QM, GSE-CRT, MILN, HELOC, and other residential mortgage loans.
- Experience with structured products markets, residential mortgage credit and legal analysis, and transaction analysis.
- Technical proficiency with Intex fixed-income analytical systems, Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Quantitative and analytical skills, plus experience with VBA, Python, or another basic programming language.
