U.S. RMBS Credit Ratings, Assistant Vice President (RMBS)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with four days in-office each week

Base salary: $97,854–$137,910 per year; 20% annual incentive target

What you will do

• Analyze U.S. residential mortgage-backed securities transactions, including collateral, deal structures, credit enhancement, and legal frameworks.
• Identify key credit issues and review banker cash-flow model outputs and structural assumptions.
• Act as a co-lead or backup analyst and present findings to rating committees.
• Contribute to structured finance criteria, models, analytical tools, transaction comparisons, sensitivities, and stress testing.
• Prepare market updates, newsletters, and concise commentary with minimal supervision.
• Meet with bankers, issuers, investors, and other market participants regarding transaction details and analytical considerations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, banking, mortgage finance, or a relevant analytical role.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for explaining complex concepts clearly.
