Senior Systems Engineer (ESY4)

Location: Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC; onsite work required up to 5 days a week. Occasional travel may be required to naval-centric locations including Norfolk, VA, and San Diego, CA. Telework may be possible with customer approval.

What you will do

• Support the Program and Deputy Program Manager within a 200-person contractor team.
• Oversee systems development from specifications and design through coding, testing, maintenance, and rollout.
• Integrate network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.
• Develop resilient software, web, and hardware systems and maintain a project-level view of cost, schedules, and technical considerations.
• Support systems engineering activities for a Naval Sea Systems Command contract.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering or a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of experience with Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys, or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production, or testing.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• No certification is required.
• Experience with systems engineering and complex software, hardware, and network integration.

Nice to have

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Knowledge of Navy and Department of Defense policy and guidance.
• Experience with systems engineering technical reviews, technology readiness, technical performance measures, combat systems integration, requirements decomposition, program protection, and risk management.
