Commercial Liability Claims Adjuster, TPA Oversight

What you will do

• Investigate and process first-party property damage claims, determine exposure, develop action plans, and drive prompt, cost-effective resolutions.
• Evaluate coverage issues, prepare coverage letters, and coordinate with coverage counsel when required.
• Assess liability, damages, reserves, invoices, documentation, and claim resolution timelines.
• Coordinate independent adjusters, vendors, litigation management, arbitrations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Communicate significant losses and industry trends to underwriters and internal business partners.
• Partner with TPA governance, relationship management, and financial teams to ensure compliance, accurate reporting, and aligned financials.

Requirements

• 4+ years of property claims experience.
• Experience handling complex, high-exposure property damage and business interruption claims.
• Advanced litigation claims management experience, including ADR and mediation involving auto and general liability exposures.
• Strong expertise interpreting insurance contracts and applying claims handling procedures and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to complete required state licensing examinations and continuing education requirements.
