Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster (Workers' Compensation)

Location: Irving, Texas. Remote or hybrid work arrangement; employees near an office are expected to work onsite two days per week, while other remote employees may need to visit an office as business needs arise. Requires expertise in Colorado workers' compensation, with Utah, Nevada, and Arizona experience preferred.

What you will do

• Investigate and analyze medium-complexity workers' compensation claims, including litigated files.
• Identify coverage, determine compensability, and review claim documents and legal pleadings.
• Develop action plans, evaluate damages, negotiate with involved parties, and settle claims within guidelines.
• Establish and maintain accurate reserves reflecting each claim's financial exposure.
• Engage and monitor external resources while controlling resolution costs.
• Collaborate with counsel, agents, policyholders, and internal stakeholders to resolve claims and communicate coverage issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of experience handling medium-complexity workers' compensation indemnity claims.
• Ability to obtain required state licenses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel daily between locations and travel overnight up to 10%.

Nice to have

• AIC or SLA certification.
• Experience handling workers' compensation claims in Utah, Nevada, or Arizona.
