What you will do

  • Review construction and real estate processes, controls, and compliance frameworks to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assess construction contracts, lease agreements, and capital project performance against contractual terms, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop recommendations to improve transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead fieldwork, including data collection, site visits, interviews, and documentation; prepare client reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on oversight, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Support clients throughout acquisition, development, operations, and disposition activities.

Requirements

  • At least three years of progressive experience in construction management, real estate advisory, capital projects consulting, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, architecture, building science, construction management, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of construction planning, procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, reporting, closeout, real estate portfolio management, lease administration, and property operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare research, audit work papers, documentation, and client-facing reports.
  • Ability to coordinate engagement schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Willingness to travel up to 25% is required.

Nice to have

  • CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP, or PE certification.
  • Experience with contract compliance audits, common area maintenance reconciliations, and performance monitoring for public and private sector clients.
