Salary: $84,000–$164,300 per year

What you will do

• Review staff-prepared customs compliance work for accuracy, completeness, and defensibility.
• Lead portions of customs compliance audits, identifying risks and assessing issues.
• Validate data reconciliations, anomalies, import compliance findings, and audit deadlines.
• Draft technical language for CF28 and CF29 responses, compliance position statements, and audit narratives.
• Identify gaps involving documentation, classification, valuation, tariff application, and internal controls.
• Coordinate multiple audit and compliance projects while mentoring consultants and analysts.

Requirements

• Four-year degree.
• At least three years of professional experience.
• Working knowledge of customs regulations, tariff frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, and technical drafting skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and large-dataset analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, documentation standards, and audit workpapers.

Nice to have

• Two to four or more years of experience in customs compliance, trade advisory, brokerage, or importing.
• LCB or CCS certification.
• Experience with CBP audits, focused assessments, internal audits, or compliance reviews.
• Familiarity with assists, royalties, transfer pricing interactions, First Sale, and classification or valuation reviews.
