Principal Software Engineer

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, and deliver IT architecture solutions for large and business-critical systems.
• Design and build enterprise REST and SOAP APIs and full-stack Java applications.
• Decompose applications into cloud microservices and manage containerized Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Logstash clusters.
• Develop technology processes to protect, monitor, investigate, and resolve security threats.
• Coordinate project activities, schedules, and costs while presenting test plans, scan reports, and technical recommendations.
• Mentor and lead multiple development and testing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Seven years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Principal Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer, or in a related role.
• At least three years of experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Spring JPA, PL/SQL, Maven, and Bootstrap.
• Experience developing REST APIs with Spring MVC and Swagger, SOAP services with Axis2 or JAX-WS, and web services using Spring Boot.
• Experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Kafka, ZooKeeper, Logstash, JUnit, TDD, and performance-scalable systems.
• Must be able to work remotely from within the United States. Successful candidates must pass a background check.
