Workday Endowments Consulting Manager (Workday)

Location: Chicago, United States; travel may be required when requested by the client.

Base salary: $145,000–$170,000 annually. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $159,500–$204,000.

What you will do

• Lead the administration, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Workday Endowments and related Workday Financials modules.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Advancement, Treasury, and IT stakeholders to define business requirements and align solutions with organizational objectives.
• Configure endowment funds, spending rules, reporting structures, workflows, dashboards, and analytics.
• Manage Workday release reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee integrations with external financial and donor-management systems while ensuring data integrity, security, and policy compliance.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to end users.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of Workday Financials experience.
• Strong expertise in Workday Endowments, Grants, Revenue, or related financial modules.
• Experience leading system implementations, enhancements, or support teams.
• Knowledge of endowment accounting, fund restrictions, spending policies, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

• Workday Financials certification.
• Experience in higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, or foundation environments.
• Experience with grants, investments, donor funds, regulatory reporting, advanced reporting, integrations, and Workday data governance.
