Workday Technical Consultant (Workday)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting also lists Redmond, WA. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, or eligible for an H-1B transfer.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design complex calculated fields, advanced and composite reports, matrix reports, dashboards, and report-as-a-service integrations.
• Configure business processes, condition rules, approval routing, and role- and segment-based security across Workday HCM and Finance tenants.
• Develop Workday Extend applications and PRISM Analytics solutions using supported platform extensions.
• Partner with HR, payroll, finance, IT, product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday solutions.
• Support tenant refreshes, regression testing, release adoption, production troubleshooting, documentation, and configuration improvements.
• Provide guidance on Workday best practices, participate in community and feedback activities, and mentor more junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least five years of Workday technical experience; the position listing specifies six or more years of experience.
• Deep expertise in Workday Report Writer, including advanced and composite reports.
• Strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance, business process configuration, condition rules, and the Workday security framework.
• Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend, tenant management, and the Workday release process.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro certifications.
• Workday Extend application development experience and familiarity with PRISM data ingestion and modeling.
• Experience with multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments, Workday Payroll, or Workday Financials.
