Sample Control Technician (Environmental Testing)

Location: Jackson, TN, USA. Full-time, Monday–Friday day shift; candidates must live within a commutable distance of Jackson.

What you will do

• Receive, unload, verify, and log incoming samples against Chain of Custody documentation, quotes, and laboratory records.
• Assign lot numbers, label samples, distribute documentation, and route samples to the appropriate laboratories.
• Prepare bottle kits, ship samples and empty coolers, and maintain cooler and sample inventories.
• Dispose of spent samples, waste, and potentially hazardous materials according to established procedures.
• Monitor freezer and cooler temperatures, maintain a clean and safe department, and support inventory activities.
• Perform courier, pickup, delivery, driving, client service, sampling, split, and composite duties as required, including non-business-hours on-call support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check for company driver certification.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Knowledge of office equipment, word processing and database software, computerized shipping systems, laboratory procedures, mathematics, communication, and personal protective equipment.
• Ability to drive for periods of up to 8 hours per day; a TWIC card and TSA clearance may be required within 90 days of hire.
