Sample and Receiving Technician (Environmental Testing)

Location: Barberton, Ohio, USA; onsite, 1st shift Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM

Salary: Starting at $17.75/hour, based on experience

What you will do

• Prepare bottle kits, coolers, and sample shipments for laboratory delivery.
• Receive bottle orders through the TALs LIMS system and verify their completeness.
• Pick up and deliver samples and bottle orders to client sites, the service center, and subcontracted laboratories.
• Count, inspect, and transport samples on ice while checking for damage, sample integrity, and hold-time issues.
• Manage Chain of Custody signatures, dates, times, and sample records.
• Maintain courier logs, vehicle maintenance records, the shipping and receiving area, and delivery vehicle.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Ability to read maps, follow directions, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
• Strong oral and written communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to work independently and with a team.
