Software Engineer 2 (Java/Angular/GitLab/Docker/Kubernetes/Elasticsearch)

Location: Hybrid in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Provide full-stack development for a project tool built with Java, Angular, and Elasticsearch.
• Develop and maintain application features across the Java backend and Angular frontend.
• Build and support development workflows with GitLab and Docker.
• Deploy and manage application components using Kubernetes or Marathon.
• Contribute to software supporting the mission to protect the country.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Fourteen years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or four additional years of comparable software engineering experience in place of the degree.
• Development experience with Java and Angular.
• Build experience with GitLab and Docker, plus Kubernetes or Marathon.

Nice to have

• Experience with language analyzers in Elasticsearch.
• Experience with computer-assisted translation tools such as LILT.
