Sr RXS Specialist (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Onsite in Lusby, Maryland, United States; travel to another hirify.global Clean Energy Center may be required for 10–50% of the time.

Salary: $117,900–$131,000 annually, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and technical programs supporting nuclear plant operations.
• Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct technical involvement and consultation.
• Manage engineering issues from task definition through completion.
• Prepare plans and specifications using engineering principles, design criteria, procedures, industry codes, and configuration-management practices.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for regulatory and technical projects.
• Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, and meet updated requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline with 5 years of industry experience, or 3 years of hirify.global Reactor Services experience.
• Alternatively, a current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 5 years of industry experience, or 3 years of hirify.global Reactor Services experience.
• Alternatively, an associate degree, non-technical four-year degree, or relevant skilled-trades apprenticeship with 7 years of industry experience, or 5 years of hirify.global Reactor Services experience.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with 9 years of industry experience, or 7 years of hirify.global Reactor Services experience.
• Maintain applicable minimum access or unescorted-access requirements and pass required medical examinations or testing.
• Willingness to travel 10–50% of the time is required.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer certification or an advanced technical degree.
• Design engineering, fuel handling, lifting and rigging, or Master Rigger qualifications.
• Work planning, procedure revision, supervisory, or P6 scheduling experience.
