Senior Specialist, Test Engineer (Avionics)

What you will do

• Develop requirements, architectures, and designs for automated test stations.
• Design, develop, document, and maintain test software solutions in C.
• Lead test system projects from concept through deployment.
• Execute software verification, validation, integration, and systems-level testing.
• Create test plans, procedures, and reports while supporting troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve reliability and test efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of programming experience in C and 4+ years of experience with product testing or automated test systems.
• Experience with digital electronic circuits, environmental test equipment, and temperature chambers.
• Knowledge of NI TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, and IEEE-488 (GPIB) controllers and drivers.
• Experience with ARINC 429, ARINC 717, MIL-STD-1553, I2C, RS-232, and RS-422 communication protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, collaboration, and independent-working skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with L-band high-power pulsed transmitters and receivers.
• Experience with RF test equipment and automated RF test systems.
• Expertise debugging and optimizing complex C software applications.
• Aerospace, avionics, or safety-critical systems experience.
• Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
