Senior Electronics Test Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Develop test architectures and systems, including equipment selection, fixtures, data logging, and interfaces.
• Design and execute prototype, qualification, acceptance, and board-level verification tests for power, digital, and RF electronics.
• Build modular software for interfacing with flight hardware and test equipment, storing test data, and automating test campaigns.
• Design integrated hardware and software test solutions for complex systems such as phased-array products.
• Advise engineering teams on design for testability, evaluate results, and present findings to stakeholders, customers, and executives.
• Train technicians and operators while contributing to laboratory buildout, management, and continuous improvement of test tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• At least 6 years of industry or university research experience designing, analyzing, and implementing electronic products or test systems.
• Experience creating and executing test plans for custom board-level electronics.
• Hands-on experience with digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, LabVIEW, SQL, MATLAB, or Embedded C.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git or SVN, Windows and Linux, VLANs, and network security.
• Experience developing production graphical user interfaces.
• Knowledge of GPIB, USB, VISA, TCP/IP, VLAN, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, and analog-to-digital conversion.
• Experience programming test equipment using SCPI.
