Senior RF Test Engineer I - Antenna (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Plan, set up, execute, and analyze antenna and RF measurement campaigns in near-field and far-field anechoic chambers.
• Measure radiation patterns, gain, efficiency, polarization, and over-the-air performance.
• Perform VNA calibration, spectrum analysis, and signal generation.
• Configure devices under test, reference antennas, and positioners to maximize measurement fidelity.
• Develop and document test procedures, setups, data analysis scripts, and custom test code.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, systems, and design engineers to troubleshoot anomalies and support product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of RF testing experience, including significant hands-on experience with anechoic-chamber antenna measurements.
• Proficiency with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and related RF instrumentation.
• Experience with pattern measurements, gain and efficiency extraction, polarization characterization, and RF fundamentals including matching, S-parameters, near-field, far-field, and chamber effects.
• Experience with automated test procedures and data processing using Python and C#.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with careful attention to documentation and reporting.

Nice to have

• Phased-array testing, antenna and phased-array troubleshooting, and OTA testing experience.
• Antenna design experience.
• Familiarity with NSI control software and positioner automation.
• Prior aerospace or satellite RF test experience.
