Mechanical Technician I

Location: Penrose, Colorado, United States; onsite in an industrial plant environment. Applicants must be a U.S. Person under ITAR and EAR requirements and must be eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Salary: $29.00–$32.00 per hour, base salary only.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on centrifugal, gear, and chemical metering pumps and motors.
• Couple and align pumps and motors, rebuild pumps, and replace seals, packing, gaskets, bearings, belts, and filters.
• Inspect and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, chiller, cooling, gas, and utility systems.
• Support commissioning and systemization activities and assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Document work orders, parts usage, equipment history, and maintenance findings in the CMMS.
• Follow LOTO, permit-to-work, OSHA, PPE, and other plant safety requirements.

Requirements

• Trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related discipline; equivalent hands-on experience may be accepted.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of pumps, motors, mechanical seals, bearings, belt drives, and basic precision measurement instruments.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of LOTO/LOTO-Plus, confined-space entry, and safe work practices.
• Ability to work onsite in Penrose, Colorado, lift up to 50 lbs, and work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or another CMMS platform.
• Basic pneumatic or hydraulic systems coursework or practical exposure.
• Experience in chemical, water/wastewater, food and beverage, or general manufacturing environments.
