Facilities Maintenance Technician I

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite facilities work

Pay rate: $27–30 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks.
• Install, inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
• Complete facility projects including painting, drywall, fixture installation, and material movement.
• Log maintenance activities and work orders in the work order system.
• Coordinate with contractors on projects and complex repairs.
• Support office moves, workstation reconfigurations, and the moving of furniture, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements

• General understanding of electrical, plumbing, painting, and heating and air-conditioning systems.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used in building construction and maintenance.
• Basic computer skills for data entry, information retrieval, and record-keeping.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and manuals.
• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
• Current valid California Class C driver's license, dependable transportation, and ability to lift at least 50 pounds required.

Nice to have

• Experience with building management systems software for creating, performing, and maintaining work orders.
