Structural EIT/Coordinator

What you will do

• Conduct structural analyses and develop design options, recommendations, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Perform engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures.
• Review structural documents and coordinate conflicts across engineering disciplines.
• Support contract administration through field inspections and conflict resolution.
• Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger building projects.
• Provide direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed.

Requirements

• Location: United States, Overland Park, Kansas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and structural design software such as AutoCAD, RISA, STAAD, SAP, TEDDS, RAM, ETABS, or SAFE.
• Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Previous experience with an architecture/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Two or more years of experience designing structural systems for building projects.
