Structural Engineer

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; work in the Philadelphia or Douglassville office

Salary: $104,402.58–$119,317.24 per year

What you will do

• Design structural systems for new construction, renovation, and rehabilitation projects.
• Perform structural calculations, engineering analyses, and building code compliance reviews.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, structural reports, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate designs with architects, civil, MEP, and other engineering disciplines using Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software.
• Conduct field investigations, site assessments, construction support, and design document quality reviews.
• Support scheduling, budgeting, technical coordination, client meetings, and mentoring of entry-level engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5–10 years of structural engineering design experience on commercial, institutional, municipal, transportation, healthcare, higher education, or government facilities.
• Experience designing structural systems in steel, concrete, masonry, and/or timber.
• Proficiency with Revit and structural analysis software such as RAM, ETABS, or RISA.
• Working knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE standards, plus experience preparing engineering calculations and construction documents.
• EIT certification required; PE licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license or active pursuit of professional licensure.
