Manufacturing Engineering Manager (In-Vitro Diagnostics)

Location: San Marcos, California, United States; onsite production-floor work

Salary: $105,500–$173,450 per year

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the manufacturing engineering team.
• Plan and execute engineering projects from concept through completion, managing timelines and budgets.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, preventative maintenance programs, and process improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and tooling on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Oversee procurement, installation, commissioning, and validation of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, product development, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, process control, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency with engineering software and tools such as SolidWorks, ERP systems, and data analysis software.
• Must have United States work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
