Manufacturing Engineer IV (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in St Petersburg, Florida, United States; production floor and lab work required, with minimal travel of less than 10%.

Base compensation: $95,000–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide manufacturing engineering support for commercialized products and new product introductions, covering processes, equipment, documentation, and supplier capability.
• Lead root-cause analysis and problem solving for manufacturing non-conformances, quality defects, material issues, and equipment problems.
• Design experiments, workflows, factory layouts, capacity models, ergonomic improvements, and complex cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead packaging development, process and operational qualification, product and process validations, and post-launch issue resolution.
• Manage new equipment installation and commissioning, and provide technical oversight for equipment and test development.
• Create and approve manufacturing documentation, including bills of materials, assembly drawings, work instructions, procedures, test documentation, and engineering change orders.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering with at least 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience, or MS degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems and ISO 13485/FDA regulations.
• Understanding of electrical design, schematics, and CAD assembly drawings; CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of general computer applications including Excel, Access, Visio, and Tableau; ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, and PLM knowledge, preferably Agile.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, initiative, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
