Senior Software Engineer (Embedded C/C++)

Salary: $190,000–$220,000 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Develop embedded software on FreeRTOS-based SafeRTOS and Linux platforms.
• Build Linux software features that control device and process power-up and activation.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and integration across the full software development lifecycle.
• Integrate software with hardware in collaboration with hardware engineers and system architects.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and power efficiency for high-performance embedded systems.
• Contribute to safety-critical automotive software and manage a shared vehicle compute platform with software services teams and SoC vendors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience with RTOS, specifically FreeRTOS or SafeRTOS, and Linux-based embedded operating systems.
• Experience developing safety-critical software with exposure to ASIL B and ASIL D standards.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and understanding of embedded hardware architectures, processors, memory management, and peripherals.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, I2C, UART, Linux Kernel frameworks including DMA, V4L2, and ALSA, and ARM architectures.
• Experience deploying commercial embedded systems and performing SoC bring-up, validation, and system-level testing; bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or an equivalent field.
• Safety-critical software experience in the automotive or industrial domain.
