Compliance Manager (Healthcare)

Location: United States; remote role with up to 50% travel for onsite practice visits

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct compliance audits and ongoing monitoring to evaluate internal controls and processes.
• Conduct routine onsite practice visits and compliance assessments, requiring travel of up to 50%.
• Support the development, implementation, and standardization of compliance programs across owned and affiliated physician practices.
• Provide subject matter expertise on healthcare compliance, coding, billing and reimbursement, fraud, waste and abuse, and conflicts of interest.
• Prepare regulatory risk assessments, develop corrective actions, and report compliance activity to practice leadership and governing boards.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, systems, and processes in coordination with legal and operations.

Requirements

• At least five years of healthcare compliance experience.
• Established compliance experience in physician practice or healthcare provider organizations.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, oversee complex issues, maintain confidentiality, and work with minimal direction.
• Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance, legal tracking, and research systems such as Ethico, HealthStream, or PolicyStat.

Nice to have

• General healthcare compliance certifications.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state healthcare compliance and accreditation standards, including ACHC.
