Remote Entry-Level Healthcare Privacy Investigator (Healthcare Privacy)

Location: Remote, with candidates required to currently reside in Texas. The role supports all Texas Oncology locations and may require up to 20% travel for training and team meetings.

What you will do

• Manage Level 1 privacy violation investigations and investigate alleged violations of the Code of Conduct.
• Collect, analyze, and report privacy and compliance metrics and data.
• Maintain weekly logs, investigation files, regulatory records, and documentation in the GRC solution.
• Monitor the compliance mailbox and hotline, triage concerns, and route issues to the appropriate staff.
• Conduct annual OCR reporting and support compliance initiatives and departmental coordination.
• Promote awareness of the Compliance and Privacy Program, ethical standards, and the Code of Ethics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Alternatives include an associate degree plus four years of related experience, or a high school diploma plus eight years of related experience.
• At least two years of experience in a healthcare-related field; compliance, privacy, or healthcare administration experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of privacy regulations and compliance standards, with emerging skills in investigations, compliance reporting, and data analysis.
• Experience with complaint triage, issue spotting, fact-finding, applying laws and policies, and drawing evidence-based conclusions.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to handle sensitive situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience operating or administering an information database.

• Professional certification applicable to the role, including CHC.
