Asset Manager (IT Asset Management)

What you will do

• Own daily and weekly reconciliation between discovery data, endpoint management tools, procurement records, and ServiceNow asset records.
• Manage asset exceptions, aging queues, missing assets, inventory levels, and physical or remote verification activities.
• Run the full hardware lifecycle from requisition and receiving through deployment, transfer, recovery, return, and certified disposal.
• Define and maintain IT asset management policies, standards, ServiceNow asset data models, and the asset-to-CMDB operating interface.
• Lead asset onboarding for acquisitions and support divestitures with asset segregation, transfer documentation, and remediation plans.
• Publish scorecards and reports covering accuracy, lifecycle compliance, recovery, cost per asset, security posture, audits, and technology spending.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in IT asset management, IT operations, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience implementing or operating ITAM in ServiceNow, including the asset module and its relationship to the CMDB.
• Working knowledge of endpoint management and discovery tooling, including normalization of discovery data into asset records.
• Experience establishing processes and holding cross-functional teams accountable without direct authority in a distributed, multi-site environment.
• Hands-on ability to perform transactional record work, reconciliation, physical verification, and follow-up with users and technicians without support staff.
• Advanced Excel and practical data skills for building reports and reconciling large datasets.

Nice to have

• ITAM certification such as IAITAM CHAMP or CITAM, or ITIL certification.
• Experience in an acquisitive environment with recurring entity integrations.
• Knowledge of hardware asset financial management, including depreciation, leasing, and refresh forecasting.
• Experience supporting internal audits or regulatory examinations with asset data.
