AVP, Technology – IT Asset Management

What you will do

• Serve as the senior subject-matter expert and team lead for enterprise IT Asset Management across software, hardware, and supplier domains.
• Establish ITAM governance, lifecycle frameworks, asset data standards, audit controls, and policies aligned with architecture, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop the ITAM maturity roadmap and lead lifecycle strategies using asset data insights and risk modeling.
• Oversee high-value software licensing portfolios, including financial analysis, license reconciliations, enterprise audits, and optimization recommendations.
• Lead ITAM due diligence and integration planning for mergers and acquisitions, including asset discovery, entitlement validation, and inherited-environment assessments.
• Provide executive reporting and tooling strategy recommendations covering analytics, automation, integrations, cost management, vendor governance, and technology lifecycle transformation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading enterprise IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, or Hardware Asset Management functions.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience interpreting and managing software licensing constructs for technologies such as Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, and VMware.
• Experience supporting ITAM workstreams during at least one merger or acquisition, including due diligence and integration activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in technology asset financial analysis, cost modeling, and optimization assessments.
• Leadership and management experience with strong enterprise influence, strategic execution, risk and compliance leadership, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with ServiceNow SAMPro/HAMPro.
• IAITAM certifications such as CITAM, CHAMP, CSAM, or CAMSE.
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile.
• Experience leading data governance, CMDB alignment, or automation initiatives.
