Corporate Counsel (AI & Privacy)

Location: Remote across all U.S. states; office-based work in Dallas, hybrid, or remote options are available. Occasional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including SaaS, software licensing, vendor, partnership, referral, and technology services agreements.
• Advise on privacy, data protection, AI, and emerging technology laws, including state-level requirements.
• Review and negotiate data protection and data processing agreements.
• Review marketing, sales, promotional, and product materials for legal and regulatory compliance.
• Research legal and regulatory developments, create practical guidance, and improve templates, policies, and training materials.
• Partner with Procurement, Infosec, GRC, Business Development, marketing, product, and other internal teams to identify and mitigate legal risk.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and current membership in good standing of at least one state bar.
• 6+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating software licenses, SaaS agreements, master services agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs, and data protection agreements.
• Working knowledge of privacy and data protection laws, including state consumer privacy laws.
• Familiarity with AI-related legal issues, advertising, marketing, e-commerce, consumer protection, promotional campaigns, and FTC or state-law compliance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
