Superintendent - Traveling

What you will do

• Supervise construction projects from mobilization through completion, close-out, and owner acceptance.
• Recruit, organize, train, direct, and coordinate field construction teams and subcontractor direct-hire work.
• Prepare and maintain CPM schedules, coordinate materials and tools, and support planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Enforce safety procedures, participate in safety training, and verify subcontractor insurance certificates.
• Set quality-control standards, review drawings and specifications, and manage punch lists and start-up testing.
• Lead or participate in pre-job conferences and subcontractor meetings while building owner and architect confidence.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience including four years as an assistant superintendent.
• Extensive field construction experience at a supervisory level.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification, or ability to obtain it within six months and maintain active certification.
• Working knowledge of all construction trades and specifications, with prior experience as a foreman, journeyman, or project engineer.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws, job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Problem-solving ability and a strong sense of urgency; ability to supervise multiple projects across a large geographic area and travel as required.
