Plant Manager (Compressed Gases)

Location: Lima, Ohio, United States — onsite at a retail shop and plant

Salary: $70,000–$74,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and empower the team producing and repackaging compressed and liquid gases into cylinders.
• Ensure safe plant operation, equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, and a clean facility.
• Schedule production work, allocate responsibilities, and adjust procedures to meet customer demand.
• Improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and team productivity.
• Investigate and report injuries and accidents, deliver safety training, and manage corrective actions.
• Coordinate customer orders and deliveries, route trucks and PGI tickets, monitor SAP reports, and complete daily cycle counts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five years of industry experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience with compressed or packaged gases is preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, rates, ratios, and percentages across whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to follow hirify.global safety programs, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience using SAP.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite applications.
• Experience using metrics and related tools to improve production efficiency.
