Process Technician I (Injection Molding)

Location: East Providence, Rhode Island, USA; onsite manufacturing environment. Shift: 7:00 p.m.–3:30 a.m., Monday–Friday.

What you will do

• Set molds in presses and run production using established processes.
• Assist with mold setups, start-ups, material changes, and press readiness under supervision.
• Monitor molding machines and process stability, troubleshoot minor defects and equipment issues, and communicate problems to supervisors and repair personnel.
• Perform visual inspections, basic in-process quality checks, first-piece paperwork, and production documentation.
• Clean molds, tools, and equipment while following safety, SOP, 6S, housekeeping, and environmental standards.
• Work with the quality department on root-cause analysis and implement ideas to improve molding efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of molding, die setter, or press attendant experience; internal hirify.global EFD injection molding experience is also accepted.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English and understand simple work instructions, correspondence, diagrams, and schedules.
• Knowledge of plastic materials and processing characteristics, plus experience with computer-controlled machines.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools and precision measuring or testing instruments.
• Ability to climb ladders frequently, stoop and bend, move around the facility, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, fractions, and decimals and interpret graphs.
