Set Up Technician - Injection Molding (12-hour Nights)

Location: 600 Deerfield Pkwy, Buffalo Grove, Illinois, United States. Full-time onsite role working 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Salary: $24.00–$38.00 USD per hour, plus a 10% night-shift differential.

What you will do

• Set up, start, operate, and monitor injection molding, assembly, packaging, auxiliary, automated, and robotic equipment.
• Load validated machine parameters and programs, align automated systems, and verify that equipment and product quality meet specifications.
• Perform visual inspections, line clearances, cycle checklists, traceability documentation, and quality-related documentation retrieval.
• Pull and set molds, clean injection molds, perform color and material-lot changes, and prepare startup batches for product changes.
• Troubleshoot small and mid-size process issues, respond to alarms, and escalate problems to Setter Level 2 or Maintenance when needed.
• Complete Level 1 TPM, perform lockout/tagout on unsafe equipment, maintain lean initiatives, and support process improvements and ISO, GMP, health and safety, and standard-work requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lb and stand or walk for approximately 90% of the shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb.
• Ability to satisfy the job's vision-testing requirements.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Basic math, PC, and mechanical skills.
• Injection molding or robotic equipment knowledge.
