Business Systems Analyst (Finance)

What you will do

• Gather, document, and validate Finance requirements for system enhancements, reports, integrations, and upgrades.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and data-flow documentation.
• Support the configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of Deltek Costpoint ERP modules, including GL, AP, AR, Billing, and Project Costing.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
• Analyze financial processes for automation, standardization, efficiency, and data integrity improvements.
• Provide ongoing support, coordinate with IT and vendors, and assist with change management, communication, and end-user training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or similar professional supporting finance or accounting functions.
• Experience with ERP systems, requirements gathering, functional specifications, implementations, upgrades, or integrations.
• Knowledge of financial processes such as general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, project accounting, and billing.
• Experience with UAT planning, execution, defect management, process documentation, and ERP configuration.
• Access to export-controlled technical data may require U.S. export-control screening under NASA regulations, ITAR, or EAR; meeting eligibility requirements is a condition of employment. Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed for critical project milestones is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Deltek Costpoint configuration, reporting, or module administration experience.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, middleware, or API-based integrations.
• Knowledge of government contracting, project-based accounting, or DCAA compliance.
• Business analysis certification, reporting or BI tools, Agile/Scrum, or TOGAF familiarity.
• SQL or basic data-querying skills.
