Business Systems Analyst (RPGLE/SQL)

Location: Remote within the United States, aligned with EST - Zone 1

What you will do

• Write requirements for minor software development items, system enhancements, and client-specific changes.
• Analyze, develop, test, and verify program changes, bug fixes, enhancements, and version upgrades.
• Develop system changes using RPGLE and SQL and analyze data files to identify issues.
• Design and generate reports, queries, data procedures, schedules, and distributions for recurring operational processes.
• Coordinate changes with vendors, clients, and programmers while supporting new client implementations.
• Provide technical support, end-user training, problem resolution, and documentation for system and client support processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a third-party administrator environment with applicable technical expertise.
• Understanding of database systems, business practices, and project management methodology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and applications.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, time-management, communication, and independent judgment skills.
• Ability to work remotely in the United States within the EST - Zone 1 schedule.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or two years of technical training.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience with IBM Series I applications.
• Experience in healthcare, third-party administration, or Taft Hartley businesses.
