TL;DR
Business Analyst (Enterprise Systems & Reporting): Improving business processes, enterprise applications, and operational reporting with an accent on requirements analysis, data quality, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on reverse engineering legacy reports, validating data and dashboards, supporting system enhancements and UAT, and translating business needs into functional specifications.
Location: Hybrid role based in the Alexandria, VA office; occasional travel may be required, with coordination across multiple time zones.

What you will do
- Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand processes, challenges, reporting needs, and business objectives.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements, workflows, business rules, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze and improve business processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and data quality.
- Review, reverse engineer, and optimize legacy reports, dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting using existing BI tools.
- Support CRM, AMS, ERP, and other enterprise applications, including implementations, upgrades, enhancements, data validation, and UAT.
- Translate between business users and technical teams while contributing to documentation, training materials, and process guides.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role supporting enterprise business applications.
- Experience gathering and validating requirements, facilitating stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements meetings.
- Ability to analyze current-state processes and recommend practical improvements that increase efficiency and data accuracy.
- Experience supporting software implementations, system enhancements, or digital transformation initiatives through the full project lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
