Patient Access Manager - Emergency Department

Location: Springfield, MA; onsite position

Salary: $80,000–$109,000 estimated base salary annually; total estimated compensation of $96,000–$130,800 including annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead daily Emergency Department Patient Access operations, including registration, eligibility verification, point-of-service collections, and demographic and insurance data capture.
• Monitor and improve registration quality, patient throughput, financial clearance, productivity, and revenue cycle metrics.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop Patient Access staff through performance management and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and revenue cycle stakeholders to reduce denials, improve revenue capture, and enhance the patient experience.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, EMTALA standards, privacy regulations, and revenue cycle best practices.
• Support staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives with Baystate Health and hirify.global leadership.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of healthcare operations experience.
• Patient Access experience and direct supervisory experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, delegation, coaching, and performance management skills.
