Operations Manager - Hospital I

Location: Onsite at UMASS University Campus in Worcester, Massachusetts, with additional locations at UMass - Hahnemann Campus, UMASS Memorial Campus, and UMASS Pavilion. Full-time role with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, nights, and emergency off-hours as required.

Salary: $67,854.07–$108,566.51 per year

What you will do

• Manage the daily operation of the hospital-based Asset360 program and maintain strong relationships with hospital administration, clinicians, and staff.
• Lead, recruit, train, schedule, and develop on-site employees while promoting accountability, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Maximize medical equipment utilization, manage inventory and supply levels, and oversee missing or lost equipment, accessories, and software upgrades.
• Partner with internal teams and hospital committees on cost containment, service expansion, safety, quality, infection control, and product evaluation.
• Maintain accurate billing documentation, support invoice and accounts receivable activities, and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Support revenue growth by identifying customer opportunities, conducting reviews and training, and expanding Asset360 services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• At least five years of supervision or management and customer excellence experience; hospital experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry and hospital medical equipment, with business and financial expertise for contract management and account margin maintenance.
• Understanding of P&L statements and customer profitability reports; ability to work effectively in time-critical environments.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, decision-making, conflict-resolution, and customer relationship skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift or push 75 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
