Patient Access and Pre-Access Supervisor (AI)

Location: On-site at the hospital in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Salary: $47,400–$59,250 per year, based on experience

What you will do

• Oversee daily patient registration and pre-registration operations, including direct and indirect staff coordination.
• Monitor productivity, point-of-service collections, wait times, overtime, and other performance metrics through regular reporting.
• Coordinate staff schedules, rotations, time off, call-offs, and on-call coverage for days, nights, and weekends.
• Set upfront collection goals, provide coaching and corrective action, and support staff evaluations.
• Develop processes and procedures, conduct audits, and lead training and continuous staff development.
• Manage assigned process-change projects and collaborate with patient access leadership, clients, facility departments, and clinical teams.

Requirements

• CHAM or CRCR certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Two-year associate degree or four-year bachelor's degree.
• Two to three years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business is preferred.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance, scheduling, verification, and hospital billing, with strong analytical and leadership abilities.
• Advanced use of AI and experience managing teams in the exploration, experimentation, and application of AI for process and technology improvements.
