Field Service Specialist III (Refrigeration Controls)

Location: Fully remote in the United States; extensive overnight travel and travel to hirify.global sites and customer locations are required.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually.

What you will do

• Commission and optimize complex refrigeration and building automation systems.
• Create control programs and logic sequences from technical specifications and Sequences of Operations.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration controls, racks, HVAC systems, BMS integrations, and third-party systems.
• Lead on-site teams, coordinate contractors, and oversee new-store and remodel commissioning projects.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for major customers and large commissioning rollouts.
• Document findings, provide field insights, and mentor junior field specialists.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in refrigeration controls, field commissioning, or system integration.
• Advanced knowledge of refrigeration design, pressure/temperature relationships, and CO₂ system control.
• Expertise in controller programming and network integration.
• Leadership, mentoring, customer communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects and travel up to 85–90%.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global and competitor control systems, including Danfoss, Carel, Novar, and Honeywell.
• Experience with third-party system integrations and large-scale commissioning projects.
