Senior Data Privacy Analyst (Healthcare)

Base compensation: $110,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Embed privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles into product requirements, data architecture, user flows, and feature design.
• Lead privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments for products, services, research initiatives, development tools, vendors, and data projects.
• Advise on data minimization, purpose limitation, retention, de-identification, synthetic data, aggregation, and secondary uses of Protected Health Information.
• Partner with engineering on consent management, access controls, data segregation, and other technical privacy controls.
• Map and document data flows, contribute to the enterprise data inventory and records of processing activities, and evaluate residual privacy risk.
• Conduct third-party privacy diligence and advise on AI/ML-enabled features, analytics, cloud-connected products, contracts, and Business Associate Agreements.

Requirements

• One or more IAPP certifications, such as CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT.
• 6+ years of progressive privacy or data protection experience, including at least 3 years in healthcare, medical devices, digital health, or health technology.
• Hands-on experience with privacy and data protection impact assessments, data mapping, and records of processing activities.
• Deep knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules, including Business Associate compliance.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA, global privacy frameworks, cybersecurity regulations, and AI/ML privacy considerations.
• Ability to translate legal and technical privacy requirements into practical development guidance and influence product, engineering, legal, security, and compliance stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree or J.D. is beneficial.
• Additional certifications such as CIPP/E or CHC.
• Experience with product launches, go-to-market reviews, stage-gate programs, OneTrust, Securiti, FDA medical device requirements, AI/ML governance, or GDPR.
