Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Location: Remote within Virginia; candidates must reside in Virginia. Employees residing in AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, or PR cannot be hired at this time. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate this in their application.

Base compensation: $95,000–$115,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Support the planning, design, and construction of drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Work on water and wastewater treatment, pumping, distribution, storage, and conveyance systems.
• Develop solutions to complex treatment and conveyance challenges with engineers, designers, and other professionals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project solutions.
• Build client relationships alongside experienced project managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
• Coursework related to water and wastewater treatment or conveyance.
• Experience with project plans, specifications, and bidding documents is preferred.
• Proficiency with design applications such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS, and Revit is preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
